Asset Services

Don is the Director of Engineering and Construction Management for Coldwell Banker Commercial in the Salt Lake Office. He is responsible for the overall training, supervision and Best Practices for Chief Engineers and Building Engineers on the Asset Services Team. These experienced technicians primarily provide technical service and maintenance coordination to large office buildings and shopping centers. Don also supervises the Construction Management capability in the Asset Services Division. These key areas include:

  • Tenant Improvement Projects
  • Build-to-Suit Development
  • Large Capital Improvement Projects.

Don has vast experience on a wide variety of capital and special projects including construction management supervision for the FBI tenant improvement build-out of 88,000 square feet in downtown Salt Lake City. Other projects include the 50,000 sf build-out for the Salt Lake Olympic Organizing Committee and most recently a 30,000 sf build-out for the Art Institute of Salt Lake City.

He is a driving force in achieving Government Energy Star rating on commercial Buildings and local authority on LEED Certification. He is an active member of each commercial property's budget committee.

Don's work history includes 14 years as the Regional Chief Engineer with CBRichard Ellis, with a primary focus on downtown office buildings. His technical experience also includes 12 years with Rocky Mountain Contractors as a commercial and industrial general contractor.

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS

  • Don attended the University of Utah and studied Mechanical Engineering in 1973-74.
  • He also attended Utah State University 1975 - 76 in Welding Engineering.
  • Don is also a Licensed Utah Real Estate agent.
